Keep the Rain Outside, Please

Just as I was starting to feel a little settled, 4 days into my stay, the ceiling in my kitchen started dripping – a lot.  Then I opened the bathroom door and water came rushing out – it was literally raining.  It was a late, late night helping my landlord clean up and limit the damage. But then the water from the faucets came out the color of coffee.  The pic above shows what it looked like when it was significantly cleaner.  This was all eventually resolved and I felt for my landlord (who is also my research colleague).

I guess as long as I mentioned the flat I should tell you about it. When it is not raining inside, it is lovely. It is just the right size for me and a guest or two.

It is bright and airy, and is literally right on the bike path that takes you for I-don’t-know-how-many-miles all over Moravia. The wifi is excellent, the neighbors are quiet, and it’s a 7-minute walk to my office or the historic district. So, you know, if you want to visit, let me know!
